At Petra Diamonds we believe that Earth’s rare and precious legacy can, through responsible mining, create abundance for our communities through partnering to provide enduring benefit for future generations. The Petra Diamonds Bursary and Graduate programmes enable just that.
Petra Diamonds Bursary Programme
Petra offers bursary opportunities to top performing learners from our local South African Communities to obtain a tertiary qualification in either a mining discipline or a non-mining related discipline which can make a positive contribution to the communities and South Africa as a whole.
Bursaries are advertised annually in November in local communities and schools, as well as internally at operations.

Graduate Programmes
Petra’s Graduate programme aims to attract high calibre graduates to grow our own bench strength and that of other critical industries to ensure a constant supply of technical professionals. The graduate programme affords graduates the opportunity to acquire relevant professional certifications and valuable work experience so that they are ready to enter into professional positions.
Our bursary scheme serves as the main source of graduates. Additional opportunities will be advertised in local communities at Community centres, libraries and to Ward Councillors when available.
